Who Is Responsible

The controller for personal data processed through this website is Bharat Kumar, Webgasse 20/1/9, 1060 Vienna, Austria, contact@orella.at. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

What We Process and Why

If you use the contact form we process the name, email address and message you enter, together with the enquiry type you select. We do this to answer you, on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a possible contract, and otherwise on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries under Article 6(1)(f). You must tick the consent box before the form will send; that consent is recorded as part of the submission and can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

Server Logs

Our hosting provider records technical information when a page is requested, including IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested and the time. This happens for every website and is necessary to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not combine this information with anything else or use it to identify you.

Who Else Receives Your Data

Contact form submissions are transmitted by EmailJS, Inc. and delivered to our email account. The site is hosted and served by Vercel Inc. Both are established in the United States, so using this form involves a transfer of your data to a third country. Those transfers take place on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider participates in it, and otherwise on Standard Contractual Clauses under Article 46(2)(c) GDPR. Where you would prefer not to have your data leave the EU, email us directly instead of using the form. If you play an embedded video, YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) also receives your IP address.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, does not store data on your device, does not use a persistent identifier and does not follow you across other sites. We cannot identify individual visitors from it.

How Long We Keep It

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and, where they lead to a business relationship, for as long as Austrian commercial and tax law requires records to be kept — generally seven years. Enquiries that lead nowhere are deleted once it is clear no further correspondence is expected. Server logs are kept for the short period our hosting provider retains them.

Your Rights

You have the right to ask what data we hold about you and to receive a copy, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased or its processing restricted, to receive data you gave us in a portable form and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent you may withdraw it at any time, which does not affect processing already carried out. Write to contact@orella.at.

Complaints

If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully you may complain to the Austrian data protection authority: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at.

Fonts and Embedded Content

All fonts and media are served from our own domain, so viewing a page makes no request to Google or any other third party. Embedded YouTube videos are the exception: they show a still image held on our server until you press play, and only then is the player loaded from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited), which receives your IP address.
